Berlin

In Berlin, we worked with 16 churches and had over 100 team members each day. The BBQ site was a bit hidden, although near Alexander Platz – but 8-900 people came each day and we shouldn't have worried. Apparently, many pastors came up to Heinrich Baumann (who runs the German OTM, and organised the mission) to say that they hadn't really believed it would work in Berlin, but were now convinced! We know of 17 conversions. Hundreds were touched in one way or another. At the final celebration, the team sang Majesty and went apoplectic! (Cheering, clapping, shouting, etc went on for minutes in an explosion of praise! – to me, a real foretaste of heaven.)  There were 13 team members from the UK. An OTM mission in Bielefeld in 2002 led to the formation of the German On the Move organisation which is now doing missions all over the country.
