This was a small mission, based around one small church, with several other pastors and leaders taking part too. Because our team was small (about 25 on average, including the English team), it was actually a relief that not too many guests came. Those that did sat down with us in a beautiful park, sitting on stone benches which formed a sort of amphitheatre – and there we could easily sit next to them and they could sun themselves and drink in the atmosphere of the presence of God, ushered in by the worship. One elderly couple said that it was the music that was 'changing' their hearts. A man gave his life to Christ and it turned out that he had a Christian wife – who he duly phoned on his cell phone, telling her the wonderful news! Altogether, we know of 14 conversions. Many others were touched and said they would come to church to find out more. One missionary there said that in Japan, one conversion in a year for a church can be a miracle, but 14 is quite exceptional. The organisers said that, now that the concept was proven, it would be so much easier to get many more churches involved and do it on a much larger scale. Praise the Lord!
