Moscow

In Moscow, we were working with 18 Baptist churches.  Nights one and three were on a river cruise boat, where about 70 believers brought about 50 non-believing guests, with talks and ministry over a free pizza meal each time.  This was very fruitful and, as we worshipped (we had four guitarists, a clarinet, saxophone, violin and two tambourines in the UK team) there was again that sense of the presence of God, and there were 15 and 14 conversions respectively over the two evenings.  On the middle evening, we were in a park - not many people about, but some stopped (pizza again!) and there were five conversions.  So the missions were very fruitful.  Russia is a country scarred by generations of suffering and betrayal and one could see the resultant caution, even in the attitude of church leaders to a foreign team.  But by the end, we felt that we had won their hearts - and they ours!  It is a country we feel moved to pray for - and wonder if you might join us in that.
